We are in the process of replacing Java as the launch application, but unfortunately Apple released another Java update which has created the current issue. There are 2 options currently:
1. Follow the directions already posted and install Java, then use Safari to launch the GoToMyPC session until we remove the need for Java.
2. Enroll in our beta program (available to Personal account holders only), which already uses the new launcher instead of Java. http://support.citrixonline.com/en_US... -
Hi,
Apple recently made a change to Java, please do the following:
1. Navigate to www.java.com
2. Click Free Java Download
3. Click Agree and Start Free Download
4. Open the Java dmg download
5. A Java window will appear. Double click the package icon to install
6. Follow the prompts to complete the Java installation process
Note: You will need an administrator password for the Mac to complete installation
After Java is installed quit any open web browsers and attempt to download again. Java will now load correctly

Since running system update this week have not been able to run Gotomypc on the mac. Have followed Apple's instructions and installed Oracle's Java package. Web client works to a point, but am not able to send ctl-alt-delete.

Not able to run Gotomypc on a mac since the latest Java update..-
Hi, are the directions I posted above the steps you followed? Do you not see the option to send the Ctrl+Alt+Delete or does does nothing happen when you send it? Can you tell me which version of OS X and which version of Windows you are using?

I posted a similar response elsewhere in this community but the problem is the same. I have used GTMPC for a good while with my Mac and Chrome browser. Here is language from Java download page:
"Chrome does not support Java 7. Java 7 runs only on 64-bit browsers and Chrome is a 32-bit browser.
If you download Java 7, you will not be able to run Java content in Chrome and will need to use a 64-bit browser (such as Safari or Firefox) to run Java content within a browser. Additionally, installing Java 7 will disable the ability to use Apple Java 6 on your system.
I understand the above and want to download Java 7 for Mac OS X (10.7.3 and above)."
I don't understand what this means, frankly. It raises more questions than it resolves. For example:
1. Can I run GTMPC on my Mac using Chrome any more?
2. Am I restricted in which browsers are compatible with GTMPC as of this Java update?
3. What exactly would disable the ability to use Apple Java 6, and why would that be a problem?
4. And so on.

Since downloading the newest java update I cannot connect to my host pc. It gives me the message unable to connect. Then when I go the computer tab on the left it says it can't connect because it's already running. HELP!

had to troubleshoot this w/ CEO on his personal MacBook Pro. He's also having issues w/ java plug-in blocked. On OSX 10.8.2, i've downloaded and installed that latest Java from Oracle. can't enroll him in the Beta program since we're using corporate account.

I can't connect to my home computer today. I am also getting the "blocked plug-in" message. I updated Java, but nothing changed. I rebooted also. I can't use the BETA program solution because it says I have to be at my home computer to install it. I am out of state trying to log-in to my home computer, so that isn't possible. I'm using Safari. I need to connect to my home computer to access my email and calendar. What can I do to connect?

Update...
I just was able to connect using Firefox (instead of Safari). Hopefully that will work for awhile until this gets sorted out. -

Hi,
Due to current security concerns with Java, Apple has disabled it in Safari. You can use Firefox which still allows Java, or join our beta program that has a new non Java launcher.

ended up installing Firefox on CEO's MacBook Pro and he's able to connect. Also, did it on my home Macs. Yesterday, also had a consultant install Firefox to access GoToMyPC.
F.Y.I.
This morning got an alert about updated Java 7 for OSX. Installed it on my home Macs and GoToMyPC can now be accessed by Safari (my home Macs are on OSX 10.7.5 and don't have access to a Mac w/ 10.8 to test). -

It's working for me with Safari now too. MacBook Pro running 10.8.2
